An iconic design by Eero Saarinen, the Conference Armchair, shown here with a practical swivel castor base and Knoll's Cato fabric upholstery, was first introduced in 1950 and revolutionised the notion of what executive seating could be. With simple semi-circular shaping and a streamlined silhouette, the Saarinen Conference Swivel Armchair offers uncomplicated comfort through its fluid and sculptural form. Its contemporary style is accented by the Cato fabric upholstery; Knoll's Cato fabric was introduced in 1961 and is crafted from a wool-mix composition, with an exaggerated texture that makes it the ultimate accent. Supported by a castor base with 360° swivel functionality, the Saarinen Conference Armchair is awarded a contemporary touch which contrasts beautifully to the soft woven texture of the upholstery. Ideal as a functional workspace addition or as a comfortable armchair, the Saarinen Conference Armchair presents a stylish design combined with minimalist style, and is still to this day made by renowned manufacturer Knoll. The Saarinen Conference Armchair is available in fire red, green, grey, ivory, brown, natural and sand hues.
