"Italian designer Fabio Novembre likes to create objects inspired by architecture. His "Trullo" boxes reproduce the special shape of the traditional houses found in the Italian village of Alberobello, in the Apulia region. Made of dry stone, these circular houses, called "Trulli", have a cone-shaped roof whose top is decorated with ornaments. These are symbols of rural Italy. Fabio Novembre on his project: "Alberobello is very close to my hometown. Here, the houses have a cone-shaped roof, similar to a magician's hat. And these houses are magical too, because they are made only of overlapping stones, without anything binding them together. Why? Because their main feature, originally, was their temporary character. Just like life: temporary. The impression they give is that by removing their roof-hat, they can reveal hidden secrets. " The collection of Trullo boxes is centred around memory and the collective imagination: these reduced-scale architectural pieces contain fragments of the past, and are full of enigmas and aesthetic suggestions. Made entirely of plastic, Trullo boxes come in beautiful combinations of transparent, fresh colours. With their colourful transparency and enigmatic form, Trullo boxes bring joy and originality to your decor. Filled with fruit or biscuits, they become the protagonists of your table. ".
